Regulatory aspects
Our gas storage facilities are operated and maintained in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. EnergyStock is a legally independent company. We are not active in the production, trade or delivery of gas and all our activities are carried out independently of the parent company N.V. Nederlandse Gasunie and/or other companies. All confidential and commercial sensitive information is for the sole use of EnergyStock. All services offered are equally accessible for all infrastructure users in order to secure an open and transparent market.
Pursuant to Article 3bis in the Gas Regulation, storage system operators of underground gas storage facilities must be certified. In order to prevent the security of energy supply or other essential security interests in the European Union or a Member State from being jeopardized by influencing the gas storage system operator on the underground gas storage. The certification task is carried out by the Netherlands Authority for Consumers & Markets (ACM).
EnergyStock is certified - under conditions - as a gas storage system operator for the underground gas storage installation (hereinafter: UGS) Zuidwending on the basis of Article 3bis Regulation (EC) No. 715/2009 (hereinafter: the Gas Regulation).
