GTS issues temporary instruction concerning G-gas/H-gas system balance
We would like to inform you that on 13 January 2026, Gasunie Transport Services (GTS) issued an instruction under Article 4.4.6 of the Gas LNB Transport Code in response to a G-gas/H-gas system balance issue on the GTS network. Please note that this event concerned the GTS system only; there was no constraint on EnergyStock’s facility.
At 11:04 CET on 13 January, our service provider GMSL was notified by GTS that a G-gas surplus was developing in the GTS pipelines. GTS instructed shippers not to increase entry nominations at the G-gas storage for the period 13 January 2026, 13:00 CET through 14 January 2026, 06:00 CET.
- Flange customers were directly contacted by GTS. We expect that shippers connected to other G-gas storages received comparable instructions from GTS.
- For customers with TTF contracts, EnergyStock acts as shipper and GMSL manages our shipper portfolios. GMSL therefore instructed our TTF customers to follow the GTS instruction and not increase entry nominations during the referenced period.
To reiterate, this instruction was a GTS network measure and not an operational constraint at EnergyStock.
The instruction expired at 06:00 CET on 14 January 2026.
This was the first time EnergyStock received such an instruction from GTS. We will evaluate the internal and external communication processes related to this event so that we can further streamline our procedures going forward.
Thank you for your cooperation and understanding. If you have any questions, please contact your usual EnergyStock representative.
